Ducks and Chickens

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Our flock of chickens and ducks tend to fluctuate between one and two dozen, depending on the hunger of the local raccoons and hawks. They free range through the bottomlands and gorge themselves on earthworms, slugs and just about anything else that moves. Then they lay the most amazing eggs on earth, occasionally in their nesting boxes, but more often in the tall grass or dark woods for us to scavenge.
