The day has finally come. We have sailed out beautiful little boat into the Sea of Cortez.
We finished the standing rigging installation last Thursday after a whirlwind of work, and the last few days have found us sailing, snorkeling and eating good food with our friends David and Samantha who are visiting from Montana.
Selkie sails great, and though we still have a few kinks to work and systems to fine tune, we think she’ll be ready to start the big journey in a few weeks.
After we send our friends off, we’ll get back on the blog train again and post a bit more on the details of the standing rigging procedure, for those that are interested. Until then, it’s off to go spearfishing…
West children, head west 🙂
