We’re toasting to the longest weekend we’ve ever had (and perhaps ever will)!

Today was our last day of work at our present places of employment. For Mark, it’s been 3 1/2 years at the same environmental restoration company and for Katie it’s been almost 6 years for the same water resource non-profit.

We’re among the rare few that really love our jobs.  Well, maybe not 100% of the time….but a good 95%. We figure we did pretty well overall.

In addition to actually enjoying our day to day work, our co-workers are more than just that.  They are the folks we laugh with, confide in and call our friends.  As exciting as the next step in our life is, we’re sad to say goodbye.  And we are very grateful for that:  for the gratitude that comes from years of working toward a cause we believe in, side by side with coworkers we call true friends.

So, we raise our glasses high today – both in celebration, and appreciation.  We hope that when the day comes when we stroll back to Missoula, we have the opportunity to work with the same caliber of organizations and coworkers.  It may not be too long until we’re back searching through the classifieds again for gainful employment.  So, without further ado, we’re off to Draught Works….
